1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your visit, understand how the site is used, and, where you allow it, support analytics and advertising. Some cookies are set by us directly (first-party), and others are set by the outside services we use (third-party).

2. Your consent choices

When you first visit our website, a notice appears in the lower corner of the page with two buttons: Manage preferences and Accept All. Manage preferences opens a panel where you can turn each category on or off individually, or choose Reject All to refuse everything that is not strictly necessary.

Until you choose, nothing outside the strictly necessary category runs. The scripts that would set analytics or advertising cookies are prevented from executing at all — not merely prevented from storing a cookie — so no request is made to those providers and no information about your visit reaches them.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link beside the Cookie Policy link in our website footer. Withdrawing consent for a category deletes that category’s cookies and reloads the page, so those tools stop running immediately. You may also delete stored cookies through your browser settings.

Global Privacy Control. If your browser or a browser extension sends a Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) signal, we treat it as an instruction to refuse all non-essential cookies. Nothing outside the strictly necessary category will load, and we do not show you the banner. You can still opt in deliberately using the Cookie settings link.

4. The tools we use

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand website traffic and the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.) for advertising measurement. Both are blocked at the page level until you consent: their scripts are rewritten so your browser cannot execute them, which means no request is made to Google or Meta and no data about your visit is sent to them. When you consent they are activated, and we additionally send Google a Consent Mode signal reflecting your choice.

The cookie banner, and the record of the choice you make, are handled by our own software running on this website. We do not use a third-party consent management platform, and no information about your visit is sent to one.

Embedded third-party content, such as maps or review widgets, may set its own cookies according to that provider’s policies when it loads.

Advertising and analytics cookies (Meta Pixel)

Our website includes the Meta Pixel, an advertising and analytics tool provided by Meta Platforms, Inc., the company that operates Facebook and Instagram. It runs on our website and sets a first-party cookie in your browser. Its purpose is to measure how well our advertising performs, understand the actions visitors take on our website, and help us show relevant advertising on Meta platforms.

The Meta Pixel does not load when you first arrive. It is blocked by default and loads only after you accept advertising cookies through our consent banner. Its script is rewritten so the browser cannot execute it, and Google Consent Mode is additionally set to denied by default. If you do not accept advertising cookies, the Meta Pixel does not fire and no Meta advertising cookie is placed.

If you accept advertising cookies, the Meta Pixel sets a cookie named _fbp, used by Meta to identify your browser for advertising and analytics, which expires 90 days after it is set. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time by reopening the cookie settings from the link in our website footer, which stops the Meta Pixel from loading. Google Fonts

This website displays some text using Google Fonts, provided by Google LLC. When a page loads, your browser requests the font files from Google’s servers, and that request includes your IP address. Google may process this in accordance with its privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. Google Fonts sets no cookie on your device.

4A. Our record of your choice

When you make a cookie choice we record it, so that we can show what you were offered and what you chose. Each record contains:

• a random identifier, stored in a cookie on your device, which is not linked to your name, your email address or any account;
• the date and time, in UTC;
• the choice you made, and the resulting on/off state of each category;
• the address of the page you were on;
• your IP address — both in full and in a shortened form — and a general description of your browser and operating system, such as “Chrome on Windows”;
• whether a Global Privacy Control signal was present; and
• the version of the banner and of this policy that were in force at that moment.

We keep these records for 24 months, and for longer where we are required to preserve them in connection with an actual or anticipated legal claim. They are held on our own server, outside the publicly reachable part of this website, and each entry is cryptographically signed and linked to the entry before it so that later alteration can be detected.

We use these records for one purpose only — to evidence the consent choices made on this website. We do not use them for analytics, marketing, profiling or advertising, and we do not sell or share them. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in being able to demonstrate what was consented to. You can ask what we hold for you using the contact details in Section 7; the random identifier in your supc_cid cookie is what lets us find it.

5. Managing cookies in your browser

Beyond our cookie banner, most browsers let you view, delete, or block cookies through their settings. Blocking all cookies may affect how parts of this site work.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy periodically. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
